• Code of Ethics

    Members shall comply with all laws, federal, state and local and promulgate and abide by the HBA's Code of Ethics.

     

    Members shall constantly seek to provide better value so that an even greater share of our people may enjoy the benefits of home ownership.

     

    Members shall strive to develop the efficiency of the building industry to the end that labor may receive its just and proper reward.

     

    Members shall encourage research to develop new materials, new building techniques, new building equipment and improved methods of home financing, to the end that every home purchaser may get the greatest value possible for every dollar.

     

    Members shall not knowingly enter into any contract the terms of which are designed to imperil either the rights of labor or the suppliers of materials to receive a fair return for services or goods furnished.

     

    Members shall comply both in spirit and letter with rules and regulations prescribed by law and government agencies for the health, safety and progress of the community.;

     

    Members shall be alert to examining proposed or enacted State and Local legislation detrimental to social, economic and political progress; and

     

    Members shall not perform, or cause to be performed, any act which would tend to reflect badly on, or bring disrepute to, the Association or any part of the building industry. Members shall not act in a way contrary to the interest of the Association.
